Bruce proudly served his country with the United States Air Force for eight years, being honorably discharged as a SSGT. He was a member of the American Legion. He was employed in retail and worked for 13 years at Walmart. He was an avid New England sports fan, cheering on the Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics.
He is survived by his wife, Myrna Tilton; two sons, Bryan Tilton and his wife, Marguerite, of Lincoln, and Bruce Tilton Jr. and his wife, Amanda; one daughter, Cynthia Tilton of Brewer; a sister, Thiry Atwood and her husband, Raymond, of Bucksport; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; as well as three step-children, Jeffrey Keniston and his wife, Catherine, of Skowhegan, Anthony Keniston of Old Town, and John Keniston and his wife, Karey, of Old Town; and two step-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Barbara Tilton; two daughters, Donna Sue Tilton and Myra Lynn Leighton, and a brother, Willard Tilton, and a sister, Leitha Tilton.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, where friends and family will gather from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Graveside services with military honors will be conducted at 1 p.m. on July 23, 2018, at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Augusta.
