

Carolyn retired as the head of housekeeping for Eastern Maine Medical Center. She was a very talented artist, whose painting included work on canvas, slate, and also amazing scenes on bricks. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Carolyn loved going out to eat, especially if it included a slice of raspberry pie. She was a delightful woman who always smiled, and who was always loving and kind.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was predeceased by her first husband, Earl Buchanan; their son, James Buchanan; second husband, Albert Willett; her twin sister, Marilyn Reeves; brother, Daryl Hanscom; and nephew, Eric Reeves. Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Anne Nevells and her husband, Fred of Bradley, Patty Taylor and her husband, Steve of Old Town, Barbara Trask and her husband, Eric, of Milford; nephews, Paul Reeves and his wife, Julie, and Fred Reeves III, all of Florida; nieces, Scarlett Visser of Florida and Cindy Emanuel and her husband, Mike, of Virginia; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as great nieces and nephews.
A graveside committal will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Old Town. Relatives and friends are invited to join in conversation and refreshments following the graveside service at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town.
