Cecilia Hilda Ouellette

Cecilia Hilda (England) Ouellette Bradley—Cecilia Hilda Ouellette, 87, died peacefully Feb 11, 2019 at a local nursing facility. She was born July 23, 1931 in Old Town a daughter of Harold and Jane (Landry) England.
A 1949 graduate of Old Town High School, was employed at several locations before retiring from James River in 1992. She was a very hard working woman, sometimes working several jobs, to provide for her six children. She was a very loving and caring woman and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Hilda will be remembered for her love of life and her competitive nature, especially when playing games. Music was a big part of Hilda’s life, enjoyed listening to her children and grandchildren sing, and was known to sing Karaoke from time to time. Hilda and her sisters would strike off for weekend traveling adventures without a planned destination. She enjoyed knitting, crafts and puzzles and was a member of the Red Hat Society and TOPS. She leaves her beloved cat Munchie.
She is survived by six children Glenn Ouellette and his wife Sandi, Debra Smith and her husband Bernard, Timothy Ouellette and his fiancé Wanda Hoskins, Stephen Ouellette, Greg Ouellette and his wife Candace, and Tina Ouellette; 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; two sisters Lena Bouchard and Carol Ellis, two step-sisters Gwen Buck and Gerry Jackson; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and step father Bill Graham, sister Rita Michaud, two brothers Robert and Ronald England. Hilda’s family wishes to thank Westgate Center for Rehabilitation for their excellent care, compassion and respect shown to Hilda and the entire family during this difficult time.
Friends may call 4-8PM Friday at the Birmingham Funeral Home 438 Main St Old Town. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9AM Saturday at Parish of the Resurrection, Holy Family Church, Old Town. Immediately following the mass all are invited to the parish hall for a light luncheon and continued fellowship. Spring interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Old Town. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association www.alz.org
