

MILFORD—Dolores S. Bell, 83, died unexpectedly August 29, 2021 at an Ellsworth hospital. She was born December 2, 1937 in Augusta daughter of Everett Webber and Frances Miles.
In her younger years she enjoyed bowling and was a candlepin state champion. She loved her children and family immensely. Over the years, she enjoyed outdoor activities to include camping, snowmobiling, ice fishing, and fourwheeling. She enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage. The Maine coast always held a special place in her heart, notably Schoodic Point and Old Orchard Beach. She retired from Sam’s Club where she will be fondly remembered as the greeter.
She is survived by four children, Deanie Cole Holland and her husband, Michael of Trenton, Lee Hoover of Corinth, Dee O’Kane and her partner Bill of Millinocket, Diane Moseley and her husband, Michael Suire, of Milford; grandchildren, Kristy Lindsey and her wife Bonnie, Ryan Hoover and his wife Alicia and Joshua Hoover; several great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; brother Dirk Armitage and his wife Marie of Washington State and a dear special aunt Joanie Najjar, whom she connected with like a sister.
She was predeceased by her husband of 37 years Durward “Doodie” Bell in 2017; son Jeff Veilleux, granddaughter Laura Zwanzigger, brother Peter Armitage, and her parents.
A graveside service will be conducted 1PM Friday at St. Joseph Cemetery Old Town.
In the spirit of her giving nature, the family asks that donations in her memory be made to a charity of one’s choice.
