Milford - Donna Marie (Morin) Wickett age 74 passed away suddenly but peacefully at home on June 23, 2023 where she lived with her son and his family. She was born April 18, 1949 to Floyd and Margaret (McLellan) Morin.
She grew up on Lincoln Street in Old Town and had many fond memories of playing with the neighborhood kids and all her siblings. She graduated from Old Town High School Class of 67. Most recently she has really enjoyed her lunches with the ladies of the class of 67. After high school she worked as a secretary at Eastern Fine Paper, Penobscot Shoe until her children were born and then at Ames when they were older, Walmart, Orono Commons and Labree’s Bakery.
She raised three wonderful children Shannon, Shawn and Shane. She always loved and supported them in everything they did. Donna especially loved watching her children play hockey. Her children gave her three beautiful grandchildren Paige, Maddox and Alyse that brought her much joy and laughter. They will miss her beyond measure. Gram rarely missed a game or anything they participated in. She was always there cheering and watching with a smile.
Donna was very close to her siblings and they enjoyed countless hours playing cards, laughing and traveling. She always looked forward to her trips to Florida in the winter. She loved all her nieces and nephews and their families.
Donna is survived by her daughter Shannon Sapiel; son, Shane Sapiel and his wife Whitney; her grandchildren she adored, Paige Drinkwater and her fiancée Tyrell Monroe, Maddox Sapiel and his girlfriend Lexi Thibodeau and Alyse Sapiel; brothers Jim Morin and his wife Linda of Florida, Pat Morin and his wife Maria of Old Town; sisters, Carol Cirard and husband Paul of Lamoine, Nancy Fortier and her partner Randy Chaloux of Bradley; brother in laws, Ronald Parady, Bill Stewart; sister in laws, Brenda Stetson and Betty Morin and many cousins and countless friends, too many to list. Donna was a small lady with a huge heart and will leave an enormous hole in our lives, however we know she was greeted by her son Shawn who she missed so much and all her family and friends that went before her. In honor of our mother, grandmother and sister please feel free to donate to a charity of your choice in her memory as she was always willing to help anyone in need.
