Eva May Love Indian Island—Eva M Love, 65, died unexpectedly February 9, 2020 at her residence. She was born March 1, 1955 a daughter of Frederick and Rita (Stevens) Ranco. Eva had a deep connection with her heritage and culture. She loved plants and nature and freely taiught about Lady Slippers, Trilliums, Jack in Pulpit, Solomon’s Seal, moss and mushrooms and other edible plants. She loved animals and always had a cat and worked with wolves in NH. She worked with the Young Adult Conservation Corps and at Indian Island School as a cook. She loved her children and grandchildren and was an ambitious basket maker. She is survived by two children Awani Love of Bangor, Keona Love Booker and her husband Matthew of Bangor; eight grandchildren Gabreill Fields-Love of Indian Island, Mikayla Love of Bangor, Quai Love Jr of Fredericton, NB, Canada, Macy Love of Eel Ground, NB, Canada and Akai Love Delaney Love and ChaiNa Love all of Milford, Keaira Francis of Bangor; great grandson Quinton Fields Love of Indian Island; the father of her children Tim Love of Bangor. She was predeceased by her parents, sister Lorraine Ritter and son Quai Love Sr on January 26, 2020.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM Friday February 14, 2020 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Indian Island. A celebration of life reception will follow at the Sockalexis Arena, 16 Wabanaki Way, Indian Island.
