Frances Louise Letourneau, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, 65, passed away on December 6, 2019 in Enterprise, AL. She was born February 10, 1954 in Bangor, ME to Charles and Bernice (Bubar) Walker.
Fran graduated from Bangor High School and graduated from the University of Maine in Augusta. Afterward she began a career caring for geriatric patients, but soon realized that her heart belonged to working with youth. Because of her passion for making a difference, she became a second mother to so many while working at the YMCA.
Fran married Brian Letourneau on September 10, 1997 in Fayetteville, NC. They were happily married for 22 years and moved across the country to support the Army. She was an avid Red Sox fan, enjoyed traveling, reading and letting her hair down riding motorcycles and attending Kiss concerts. Without a doubt, she most of all enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Fran was preceded in death by her son Russell Crouse.
Fran is survived by her husband Brian Letourneau, her two daughters Tammy, and her husband Randy Klingaman, and Melissa, and her husband Thomas Grandinetti, her son Jeffery and his wife Kristen Shirland, seven grandchildren Benjamin, Emily, Madelyn, Grace, Jeffery, Noelle and Sam, and her five siblings Johnny, Billy, Charlotte, Linda and Betty, along with many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life gathering will be conducted Friday December 20, 2019 form 5-7PM at the Birmingham Funeral Home 438 Main St Old Town where a memorial service will be celebrated 10AM Saturday. A private burial will take place in the spring at Lawndale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Old Town / Orono YMCA Youth Programs 472 Stillwater Ave, Old Town, ME 04468 in memory of Fran Letourneau for her many years of service.
