Franklin Robert Geroux MILFORD—Frank R. Geroux, 84, died peacefully April 9, 2018 at his residence surrounded by family. He was born June 13, 1933 in Old Town a son of Louis and Flora (Labelle) Geroux. Frank graduated from Old Town High School and enlisted in the US Army. He returned to Old Town and owned and operated an Esso Filling Station and was employed for many years as a pipe fitter at the Old Town mill. He married the former Hilda Harris on July 27, 1957. Frank was a devoted husband father and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with family and followed all of his children and grandchildren’s sporting events and various activities. He enjoyed the outdoors, time hunting with family and friends, and time spent at camp in Greenfield. He will be remembered for having the neatest yard around, he would spend countless hours doing yard work. He was an avid Yankees fan, loved a good cup of coffee, and especially enjoyed Wednesday nights, dancing with his wife at Spencer’s. He was a member of the ELKS Lodge 1287 of Old Town and a communicant of Holy Family Parish. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Hilda; four children Mike Geroux and his wife Tammy of Milford, Kevin Geroux and Dawn Curtis of Old Town, Scott Geroux and his wife Angela of Garland, and Cheryl Shorette and her husband Jeff of Orono; nine grandchildren Melissa MacArthur and her husband Doug, Lisa Coffin and her husband William, Nicholas Shorrette and his fiancé Megan, Amy Geroux, Jason Geroux and his wife Meghan, Lindsay Geroux and her companion Christina, Cameron Shorette and friend Izzy, Nycole Grenier and Noelle Grenier; great grandchildren Mckayla, Mason, Nicholas, Abbie, Alex, Kody, Chase, Benny, and Leah; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; grandson Cory Grenier; and great granddaughter Sarah Nicole MacArthur; seven siblings Evan Geroux, Ernest Geroux, Richard Geroux, Alfred Geroux, June Lajoie, Josephine Miller, Florence Furlotte. The family wishes to thank Bruce Geroux for all of his love and support. A celebration of his life gathering held 5-8PM Thursday at Birmingham Funeral Home 438 Main St Old Town. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM Friday at Parish of The Resurrection, Holy Family Church, Old Town. Private burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery with military honors. Immediately following the service, all are invited to the Parish hall for a light luncheon and continued fellowship.
