Fred W Hutchinson

BANGOR - Fred W. Hutchinson, 66, died December 31, 2013 at his residence. He was born April 16, 1947 in Orono a son of Clarence E. Sr. and Levina (Denning) Hutchinson. He was employed by the sanitation department of the city of Old Town for over 20 years. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling. Fred was very proud of the fact that for the past 17 years he had remained sober. He was an active member and participant of Alcoholics Anonymous in Bangor and enjoyed the weekly sessions, often arriving early to set up and make the coffee. He is survived by three brothers Clarence Hutchinson Jr of Goffstown, NH, Lawrence Hutchinson of Asheville, NC and Roger Hutchinson of Northport, AL; two sisters Marylyn O'Clair of Old Town and Nancy Cozzi of Brewer; a special neighbor Jason Mannix of Bangor; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his parents. Friends may call 1-3 PM Saturday at the Birmingham Funeral Home 438 Main St Old Town where a celebration of his life will be held at 3 p.m. Spring burial will be at Lawndale Cemetery.
