ENFIELD and MILFORD--Gladys Evelyn Stinson,94, went to join her husband September 20, 2020. She was born July 28, 1926 in Kingman, Indiana a daughter of Russell and Bernice (Furr) Dotson.

She grew up a city girl working in a theater and then as an operator for Bell Telephone. All that changed in 1949 when she met a handsome young bush pilot from Maine at a friend’s wedding. They corresponded for a year and then mom moved to Maine to marry her handsome pilot. They were married in 1950 and enjoyed almost 68 years together. Although she left the city, she still got excited every Memorial Day weekend for the Indy 500 and to hear Jim Nabors sing “Back Home In Indiana”. Mom loved gardening, quilting, painting and feeding the birds.

She was very proud of having volunteered in the records department of Penobscot Valley Hospital in Lincoln for twenty years. She held the ladies she worked with there very close to her heart. She also loved her church family at Lincoln First United Methodist church.
