Old Town - Henry Michael Calvillo, born May 8, 1955 in San Francisco, California, passed on May 21, 2023, at his long-time residence, in Old Town, Maine. He was a Son, Brother, Father, Grandfather, Uncle and friend. He was known by many names in his life - Ricky/Rick, Henry, Chief etc.
He served two tours in the US Army. When he was stationed in Alaska, he worked as a military law enforcement officer (MP) and in Germany, he was an Administrations Specialist.
Moving to Alton, Maine in 1991 with his family, he eventually settled in Old Town.
Henry worked as a 911 Dispatcher, drove a school bus route - the kids called him Mr. Henry, and ultimately worked delivering medical supplies up and down the state. He enjoyed playing softball for years, golfing and volleyball. He was a good cook and often had funny stories or jokes to share.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Ann E. Otero and biological father, Enrique (Henry) Calvillo. Survived by his three sisters, Mary Ann (Scott) Snyder of Washington, Kathy Treadwell of North Carolina and Christina Otero of Sacramento, California; his daughter Jessica (Peter) Werner of Blue Hill, Maine; son, Joshua Moore; four grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and one maternal aunt, Dolores Castillo and numerous paternal Calvillo family members in San Francisco, CA & El Paso, Texas.
A celebration of life and remembrance will be tentatively held on August 12, 2023, the location has not yet been decided. Please check Birmingham Funeral Home website for updates.
