James “Jim” Dana Slauenwhite Sr. Millinocket - James Slauenwhite Sr., age 74 passed away unexpectedly at Millinocket Regional Hospital on February 1, 2020 with his family by his side. He was born May 13, 1945 to Helen (McGowan) and Clair Slauenwhite. He graduated from Stearns High School Class of 1965. He married Linda (Baker) Slauenwhite on October 8, 1966. Together they raised three children and one grandson. He served in the Maine Army National Guard for 6 years and was employed at Great Northern and Bowater mills for 48 years. Jim is survived by his wife Linda (Baker) Slauenwhite of 53 years, step mother Colleen Rockwell of Oakfield; three children Celina Charette and husband Lindwood “Tj” of Medway, James “Jamie” Slauenwhite Jr. and wife Molly of Old Town, Jennifer Gould and husband Bill of Millinocket; grandchildren, Robert Deschane of Millinocket, Mckenzie Slauenwhite and wife Alissa and great granddaughter Eleanor Lucy of New York. Abigail, Noah and Owen Slauenwhite of Old Town. Justin Charette of Medway, Joshua McGreevy and Julia Gould of Millinocket; step grandchildren Nevaeh and Charleigh York of Old Town, Caitlin Davenport of Ohio and Brady Barker; siblings Nickie “Charolette” Hazel of Lancaster, MA, Lawrence Slauenwhite of Milford, Karen (Slauenwhite) Coty and Husband Richard of Lisbon Falls, Steven Leach and wife Patti of Framingham, MA, Bruce Leavitt of Millinocket, Scott Leavitt and wife Lorrie of Millinocket, Dean Slauenwhite and wife Leanne of Gorham, Don Slauenwhite and partner Diane of Mount Chase, Myron Slauenwhite of Patten, Colleen Frost and husband Artie of Oakfield and Mark Slauenwhite of Carmel and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother Helen (McGowan) Slauenwhite and step father Gerald Leavitt, his father Clair Slauenwhite, baby brother Clair Slauenwhite, brothers Robert Leavitt and James Henry Slauenwhite, and by a granddaughter Hayley Alexis Charette There will be a spring burial at The Millinocket Cemetery date to be determined.
