Jeannette Ella Soule

Jeannette Ella Soule, 83, passed away peacefully in Orono, November 18, 2023, with her family by her side. She was born in Gilman Falls, Old Town, June 6, 1940, the daughter of Henry A. and Emelda (Lucuyer) Cyr.

Jeannette attended Old Town schools. She worked for several years in the shoe shop. Jeannette married John Soule and raised three boys- David, Donald, and John. Jeannette loved doing anything outdoors. She loved camping, fishing, 4-wheeling and Jeannette loved taking her jack Russell terrier, Bandit, jet-skiing. Jeannette loved to collect anything with frogs on it. She was a strong woman and a tough but loving mom. Jeannette always made sure her boys had everything they needed.

In addition to her husband and parents, Jeannette was predeceased by 8 siblings. She is survived by her three sons, David Soule and his wife, Ann, Donald, John and his wife, Faith; grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Daniel, Devin, Courtney, and Heather; great grandchildren, Selena, Shania, Ethan, and Emily; and her siblings, Thelma and Juliette, as well as many special nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff at Orono Commons for their compassionate care.

Committal prayers will be said at 10 am, Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Milford Cemetery. Those who wish to remember Jeanette in a special way may make gifts in her memory to the Old Town Animal Orphanage, PO Box 565, Orono, ME 04473.
