Joan M. (Gulliver) St. Louis OLD TOWN—Joan M. St. Louis, 76, died September 14, 2019 at a Bangor hospital. She was born June 26, 1943 in Brookton, a daughter of proud parents George and Muriel (Knights) Gulliver. Joan was a lifelong resident of the Old Town/ Milford area. She was a hardworking, single mom, and when life knocked her down, she got right back up again. She was employed at St. Joseph hospital for 36 years in the purchasing department. Joan cherished time with her special friend Kay Thurston; the two of them were inseparable. She loved their time perfecting their flower beds and keeping the yard and lawn manicured to the extreme. She definitely had a green thumb. She enjoyed trips to the coast. Family time was very important to Joan and she relished time spent at family gatherings, especially the family Christmas parties and often could not wait until the following year’s party. Her fresh baked pies will be greatly missed and difficult to replace. She is survived by three children Michael and his wife Kathy, Janet, Brian and his wife Katherine; sister Jeannie and husband Harry Pratt; stepsister Cheryl and husband Lee; grandchildren Josh, Caleb, Tara, Alisha, Cody, and Natalie; great grandchildren Dakota, Dean, Danika, Jaxon, Jayce, and Sandra; nephew Kevin, nieces Amber, Crystal, and Angela. She was predeceased by her father, mother, step father Norman St. Louis, whom she always called Dad; brother Terry “Gup”, nephew Jeff and niece Terri-Ann. Friends may call 5-7 pm Tuesday at the Birmingham Funeral Home 438 Main St Old Town. A graveside service will be conducted 10AM Wednesday at the Milford Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of St. Joseph PO Box 403 Bangor, ME 04402 www.stjoeshealing.org

Thinking of you at this time. I lived just a few trailers away, and your Mom always welcomed me in to come, play and visit with your family. A lot of women helped raise all of us kids, and your Mom was one of them. I am sad for your loss and hope you know the appreciation I feel towards your Mom. xxoo

I will always remember and cherish the many summers when Joan and Brian came for a week long vacation.
Brian and the boys enjoyed the pool among other activities and Joan and I just enjoyed sharing time together.
I will miss you, my friend. Be free and rest for now. Love you. 🥰
