Kathleen R Roy

Bradley – Kathleen “Kay” Rita LaBelle Roy went home to be with her Lord and savior, Saturday, November 17, 2012. She will join her beloved husband of over 50 years; Evan Joseph Roy, Sr. Kathleen was born May 31, 1936 in Milford, the daughter of Stanislaus D. and Leona (LeBretton) LaBelle.

Kathleen attended Milford and Old Town schools. She was employed in Old Town shoe shops and the last twenty four years before retirement at James River in Old Town.

She is survived by five children: seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren : Rebecca A. and her husband Thomas of Bangor and Rebecca’s daughter Jennifer and her husband Jeffrey Schenck and their child Garrett Steven Schenck of Hawaii; Roberta Roy of Old Town and her children Michael Roy and Michelle and her husband Kenyon Humphrey and their daughter Madison Kathleen of Winterport; Evan Jr. and his wife Lori and their children Evan Roy III and step-grand-daughter Krystal Whitney; Bruce and his wife Jeannette and their children Kevin and Jessica of Bradley;

Mark of Bradley and his daughter Kaleigh of Vermont.

She is also survived by siblings: two sisters, Rose Dyer and Sylvia LaBelle, one half-brother Robert Roy and two half-sisters Leona and Anna and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kathleen was predeceased by one grandchild Stephanie, two brothers Joseph and Dennis, one sister Selena, one half-brother Lawrence and her parents.

She was a wonderful and generous person and will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her including her Godchild Victoria LaBelle, and friends Young, Marilyn and Jackie. She was a woman of strong faith and family meant more to her than anything.

At Kathleen’s request there will be no visiting hours. A memorial mass will be held at Parish of the Resurrection Holy Family Church 9AM Saturday, November 24, 2012.
