Laura E Sawyer

BANGOR - Laura Emma Sawyer, 88, passed away peacefully Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010. She was born March 27, 1922, in Lamoine. Laura was the last of the Springer family from Lamoine, and is survived by her four daughters, Lorri Meyer, Lynn McElrath, Jane Buckman and Susan Salis; three grandchildren and a special grandson, Cody, whom she loved dearly; and seven great-grandchildren. A special thanks to Kathy in the critical care unit at Eastern Maine Medical Center and Ross Manor, Engel Place for the love and care they've shown her in the past two years, especially Megan. Family and friends are invited to gather 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at her gravesite at Riverside Cemetery, Bennoch Road, Orono. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Laura's honor to Alzheimer's Association of America, 322 8th Ave., 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
