
OLD TOWN - Linwood H. Pinkham Jr., 82, died Jan. 10, 2010, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Aug. 11, 1927, in Old Town, son of Linwood H. and Pauline M. (McIninch) Pinkham. Linwood was a lifelong resident of Old Town and retired from James River Paper Mill in 1989 after 38 years of service. He was a member of Christ Church of Faith and Anah Temple Shrine, Bangor. He enjoyed spending time at Pushaw Lake playing horseshoes with friends and relatives. He is survived by children, Linda McNelly and her husband, Brian, of Dunnellon, Fla., Harold Pinkham and significant other, Melody Keller, of Veazie, Donna Balaban and her husband, Jim, of Lemoyne, Pa., Jeffrey Feero and his wife, Sheila, of Glenburn, Charles Pinkham and his wife, Cindy, of Old Town, Susan Shorey and her husband, David, of Old Town, and Lean Jean of Grove Town, Ga.; and two sisters, Elizabeth Thompson and Gloria Scott, both of St. Petersburg, Fla. He will also be missed by a special friend, Pat Ryan of Brewer; and many grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Lillian, in 1969; second wife, Sandra, in 2003; and infant daughter, Gail, in 1955. He was also predeceased by a brother, Guy Pinkham; and two sisters, Grace Murray and Irene Fridolin. A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, where friends may call 1 p.m. until the time of service. Immediately after the service, all are invited to Christ Church of Faith, Route 16, Bennoch Road, Old Town.
