BRADLEY - Lloyd G. Beal Jr., 81, passed away April 9, 2012, after a short battle with lung cancer. He was born Nov. 8, 1930, in Milford, son of Lloyd G. Sr. and Alice (Reed) Beal. Lloyd proudly served his country as a U.S. Marine from 1952 to 1954, and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. He also worked for 41 years as a track man and welder for the Maine Central Rail Road. Lloyd was very proud of his family and loved spending time with them. He was a member of National Trapper Association, and also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at Upper Sysladobsis Lake in Lakeville. Lloyd is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Mary; three sons, Lloyd G. Beal III and his wife, Wanda, of Milford, Otis Beal of Bradley, and Randy Beal and his wife, Laurie, of Orono; two daughters, Audrey Page and her husband, Rick, and Alison Bragg and her husband, Dale Sr., both of Bradley; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; siblings, Larry Beal and his wife, Bev, of Milford, Grace Burpee of Florida, Ronald Beal and his wife, Laurel, of Dixmont, Velma Comeau of Massachusetts, and Dale Beal of Bradley; brothers-in-law, Edward Delaware and his wife, Ann, and Sterling Delaware and his wife, Judy; sister-in-law, Kathy Delaware; many nieces and nephews; and his close friend and walking partner, Harley Carmichael. In addition to his parents, Lloyd was predeceased by his sister, Louise Commeau; brother, Malon Beal; and brother-in-law, Sonny Delaware. As to Lloyd's request, there will be no viewing. A graveside service will be held 9 a.m. Friday, April 13, at Milford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lloyd's memory can be made to CancerCare of Maine, care of Health Care Charities, P.O.
