OLD TOWN - Margaret G. Brown, 88, died peacefully October 21, 2015, at her residence. She was born July 19, 1927, in Old Town, a daughter of Mervyen and Jeanie (Sleep) Gilman.She was employed for 28 years at the Old Town School Department Lunch program and retired after serving as the program director for 12 years. She was a member of the United Baptist Church of Old Town and Order of the Eastern Star, Katahdin Chapter #121 of Old Town.She is survived by daughter, Ethel Jenkins and her husband, Tom of Bradley; many special nieces and nephews, who have provided care and comfort, as well as the Littlefield family, and her church family. Thank you all for the love and support. She was predeceased by her husband, Delmar Brown; brothers, John, Clayton, Mark and Mervyen; and sisters, Gladys, Olive, Ruth and Barbara. A special thank you to New Hope Hospice for the wonderful, compassionate, and supportive care given to Margaret. A funeral service will be conducted 2PM Monday at the United Baptist Church of Old Town where friends may call from 1PM until time of service. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
