Argyle, ME and Wilton, NH--Nancie Lorana (Hopkins) Burns, 88 years, of Wilton NH passed away unexpectedly on October 13, 2018. She was born in Alton Maine on August 27, 1930 the daughter of Ethel and Herman Hopkins.
She lived for 59 years in Argyle Maine with her husband Arthur Burns and raised 3 children; Robert, Christine and James Burns. She moved to Wilton NH after Arthur’s passing. Nancie remarried Paul Aubin and were both faithful members of the United Methodist Church in Milford NH.
Nancie worked for Northeast Airlines, was a clerk for Argyle Township, owner of Burns Greenhouse and was actively gardening through summer months throughout her younger years. She was a caring woman that cared for many people and animals throughout her life. She was a lifetime member of the Katahdin Chapter 121 Order of the Eastern Star and later became a member of the Stephen Ministry until she passed while doing the volunteer work she loved at the Church.
Nancie is survived by her children Christine and James as well as nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed by all that knew her.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 10 at 1:00pm at the Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main Street, Old Town. Burial will be at Alton Cemetery.
