Paul R. Ste. Marie

Old Town- Paul R. Ste. Marie, 83, died peacefully August 15, 2012 at a Bangor health care facility surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 30, 1929 in Old Town a son of Arthur and Roseanna (Beaulieau) Ste. Marie. Paul was a 1948 graduate of Old Town High School. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, and bowled for many years in the KC bowling league and loved to watch the “Lincoln boys” bowl. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing cards and board games with his grandchildren; and cheering on his favorite teams the Red Sox and the Patriots. He was employed at the A&P grocery store, the commissary, and over 20 years at the James River Mill in Old Town. He was a life communicant of Holy Family Church. He is survived by five children Sandra Allen of Old Town, Sharon Veino and her husband Corey of Greenbush, John Ste. Marie and his wife Jan of Freemont, NH, Sherry Terra and her husband Joseph of Glenburn, Shelly Brown and her husband Louis of Lincoln, grandchildren Pauline, Ambre, Stephen, Renee, Brandon, Travis, Ashley Rose, Abigail, Hannah, and Autumn; step grandchild Dominick; great grandchildren Cassandra, Breanna, and Christian, great great granddaughter Kayli; one sister Joan Snow and husband Ralph of Bradley; special nephew Alan Cust ; goddaughters Sue Cust and Carlene Bilodeau; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife of 49 years Anita B. Ste. Marie in 2010; siblings Marguerite Cust, Loretta Sherwood, Francis Ste. Marie, Raymond Ste. Marie. Friends may call 6-9 PM Friday at the Birmingham Funeral Home 438 Main St Old Town where members of the Knights of Columbus will recite prayers at 6:30. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 AM Saturday at Parish of the Resurrection Holy Family Church, Old Town. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Old Town.
