Pauline E. Rand

OLD TOWN—Pauline E. Rand, 97, died peacefully with family by her side June 14, 2021. She was born June 13, 1924 in Old Town a daughter of David A. and Eugenia Z. (St. Peter) Seymour.

Pauline loved bowling, casinos, fires at Beech Hill Pond, playing cards, dancing, boat rides, and was ALWAYS the life of the party. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was “Mem” to many. She was a lifelong communicant of Holy Family Church, and her love and dedication to God was undeniable. Pauline lived a long, full, and rewarding life and was able to live alone, drive, and stay independent until was almost 97.

She will be sadly missed and forever loved by her children Sharon and husband Russ Nealey; Susan and husband Frank Blake, step children John and wife Judy Rand, Sarah and husband Vic Michaud; grandchildren Sean and Lisa Fogg, Kim Fogg and Tammy Thibodeau, Chad and Darlene Blake, Benjie and Alicia Blake, Jody and Butch Moulton, Kristy and Greg Thibodeau, Peggy Laskey, Scott and Laurie Cates, and Laurie Cates, great grandchildren Morgan, Brandon, Bailee, Mariah, Chloe, Haley, Thomas, Jen, Frank, Kayla, Hannah, Nate, Lindsay, Jessica, Nathan, Kristin and Nicholas; sister-in-law Dolores Simon, two special friends Carole Treadwell and Diane Burr; many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Chester, daughter Brenda, grandchildren Brent Cates and Marie Blake, brothers Randolph, Walter, Robert and his wife Audrey, Gene and his wife Cora, sister Rose Cates and her husband Donald.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM Friday June 25, 2021 at Parish of the Resurrection, Holy Family Church, Old Town. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. All are invited to the Parish Hall for a light luncheon and continued fellowship.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Amedisys Foundation and sent to Beacon Hospice 1026 Stillwater Ave Bangor ME 04401. Please state in honor of Pauline Rand. A special thank you to Beacon Hospice, Dr. Charles Roberts and his assistant Hilda at PCHC, and to Terry Day her “adopted” son.
