I didn't grow up on French Island but my mom did and I heard all the stories about how everyone knew each other. I was lucky enough to meet Phil and Mayre Ann when I rented one of there apartments from them. Phil and Mayre Ann were always very good to me and would always stop and talk to me when they see me. Just last summer Phil and Mayre Ann were driving by my house, see me outside and stopped and talked for 15 minutes. It was an honor to have known Phil. My condolences to Mayre Ann and the rest of the family. You have lost a great Husband, Father, Grandfather but heaven has gained a great Man.

To the Family of Philip Veilleux
This is Joanne, Jon Green's mother. I did not know Mr. Veilleux, but Jon did and recently spoke of him with great respect. I do remember what good friends Jon and Troy were during their high school years, and know that they maintain connection. Mrs. Veilleux, my sincere condolences to you and all your family.

Dear Mayreann and family, I'm deeply saddened for your loss. I feel very fortunate to have gotten to know you and Phil these past three years. Knowing that I might get a chance to see and talk with Phil when I stopped by the apartment always brightened my day. Phil will no doubt be deeply missed. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers and I hope you will let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

Growing up on French Island and knowing the wonderful people who lived there will always have a place in my heart. Phil certainly is one of those much loved and respected people who will be missed by so many. I used to see Phil often at Hollywood Slots and we would spend time reminiscing about the old days. His children were my students; his sister a dear friend. Prayers and condolences to the Veilleux family.
