

He was a US Air Force Veteran having served as an Airman First Class during the Korean War for 1951-1955. While in the service he played for the Farichild Flyers Baseball team in Washington State. In 1957 he married the former Viola Cormier and they raised two sons. He lived in Worcester, MA, for 50 years and was employed at Thompson Wire Company for over 20 years and retired from UMass Medical Center, Worcester. Upon retirement, Rollie and Viola moved to East Millinocket. He was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Parish, Worcester, MA, The Divine Mercy Parish-St. Peter's East Millinocket, and St. John's Parish, Rumford. They enjoyed time spent at their cottage in New Brunswick, Canada entertaining family and friends.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 0024 of Rumford, Life Member of VFW Post 3657 of Worcester, and Life Member of Elks Lodge No. 243 of Worcester.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Viola (Cormier) Goguen; son, Michael Goguen; brother, Leo Goguen and his wife, Justine, of MI; sister-in-law, Sr. Auleda Cormier, NDSC, Mocton, New Brunswick, Canada; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Jeffrey Goguen in 2002; five brothers, Joseph, Maurice, Alfred, Raymond, and Roger, and three sisters, Yvonne Bourque, Nelida Morin, and Cora Virag.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at a time a date to be announced in the spring at Parish of the Holy Savior, Rumford, ME. Burial with military honors will follow at St. John's Cemetery.
