

BANGOR—Shirley Adeline Rinard, 86, died peacefully December 16, 2019 at her residence surrounded by family following a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born August 4, 1933 in Bangor daughter of Leo and Freda (Davenport) Campbell.
Shirley’s pride and joy in life were her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered as a great cook and hostess. She volunteered for over 25 years at St. Joseph Hospital and enjoyed Bingo and was a member of the Red Hat Society. She and her husband enjoyed wintering in Arizona for the past 20 years.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, George Rinard; three children Diane Rioux and her husband Bob of Naples, Cindy Grover and her husband Dennis of Bangor and Cathy Carver and Colleen Carter of Bangor; three grandchildren Elissa Ivey and her husband Josh, Aaron Carver and partner Sean Austin, and Felicia Ridley and her husband Bill; three great grandchildren Novie, Wyatt and Juniper Ivey; two sisters Carolyn Campbell and partner Carolyn Blake and Evelyn “Bonnie” Yost; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, son Darrell Tracy and brother Laurence Campbell.
Friends may call 5:30-7:30 Wednesday December 18, 2019 at the Birmingham Funeral Home 438 Main St Old Town. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11AM Thursday December 19, 2019 at St. John's Catholic Church, St. Paul the Apostle Parish, 217 York St, Bangor. Spring burial will be Riverside Cemetery, Orono. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Alzheimer’s Association www.alz.org
