

MILFORD-Velma I. Buxton, 86, died peacefully February 22, 2022 at her residence. She was born December 24, 1935 in Old Town a daughter of Ansil and Ethel (McLaughlin) Fowler.
Velma’s family was paramount to her life. She was a wonderful caregiver and a beautiful cook. Her door was always open and she welcomed all into her home. She was an active member of the Cardville Pentecostal Church for many years, and recently has been attending the First Pentecostal Church of Brewer with her daughter.
She is survived by seven children Michael Buxton and his wife Kathy, Daniel Buxton, Valerie Stitham, Llewellyn Buxton and his wife Daniela, Edgar “Sonny” Buxton Jr. and his wife Tammy,Tammy Haskell, and Belinda Arey and her husband Owen; grandchildren Alise and Ericka Alschuler, Adam and Erin Hutchinson, John and Kerry Curtis, Curtis and Karen Buxton, Stephanie Buxton, Matt and Michelle Raleigh, Sheldon Stitham, Nicole Hersey, Jesse Buxton, Bobbiejo Souppa, Brandon Buxton, Corey Buxton, Cassandra and Josh Pool, Danielle and Paul Hollobaugh, Monica and Josh Peredo, Christina Dunn, and Michelle Davis; great grandchildren Mason, Anika, Jason, Donald, Dorian, Cecelia, Esme, Haleigh, Eli, James, Lily, Emma, Blake, Santana, Kalen, Laciee, Sheydon, Zachery, Isaiah, Lilly, Leah, Jesse, Scarlett, Madeline, Naomi, Judah, Josiah, Brody, and Kisaac; many nieces and nephews and a close friend Jolene Simmons.
She was predeceased by her husband Edgar Buxton Sr. sons-in law Robert Stitham and Robert Haskell, grandchildren Bruce, Nicole, and Steven; and twelve siblings.
A celebration of her life will be conducted 1PM Saturday February 26, 2022 at the First Pentecostal Church of Brewer, 14 Parkway South Brewer, ME 04412.
