Billy is survived by his wife of 46 years, Julie, his daughter Melissa, his son Matthew along with Matty C., Courtney and Tiffany whom he thought of as his own, his grandchildren, Arianna, Mariah, Bella, Dylan, Cody and Brooke. He also leaves behind his sisters, Sharon & Donna, his faithful four-legged companion, Gracie along with countless amounts of friends he made in his 64 years, many of which he considered family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Betty Bolton of Massachusetts.
Billy was born in West Palm Beach, FL on July 23, 1959. He grew up on Cape Cod, which is where he and Julie raised their children. For the last 20 years Billy lived in the greater Bangor area that he came to love.
Billy worked his entire life within construction. He was a very handy man, as he would joke, “Yup, a jack of all trades, yet a master of none”. Known by many over the years as, “Bill the drywaller” or “Bill the sheetrocker”, he was a hard worker and always gave his all.
Billy had a love for Rock-’N-Roll music and the Blues. He also enjoyed building, crafting, woodworking, relaxing in the hot tub, watching westerns and comedies, playing solitaire, spending time at “camp” sitting by the fire or driving around in his golf cart with his grandchildren or Gracie. Above all else, his number one joy in life was spending every moment he could with his grandchildren.
He was a social man, making friends literally anywhere he went. He had a huge heart, was known and loved by so many and will be truly missed!
A celebration of life will be held in Maine next Spring and details will be announced
