A lifelong resident of Cockrum, Anna was known for her deep faith, generous heart, and unwavering commitment to her community.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Wayne, and numerous cousins.
Affectionately called “Miss Anna,” “Anna Maude,” or “Monk,” she was a devoted member of her local church, serving faithfully as a Sunday School teacher, committee member, and encourager well into her 80s. Her acts of kindness touched countless lives. Anna was a longtime supporter of the local fire station and volunteered at elections for decades, greeting neighbors with warmth and ensuring every voice was heard. She and her beloved husband shared over 60 years of marriage, a testament to love, loyalty, and partnership. A cancer survivor, Miss Anna consistently displayed faith, love, and good humor, regardless of the circumstances. Her steadfast kindness was deeply rooted in her Christian faith and her love of her community, friends, and family. Anna’s life was a beautiful example of steady faith and loving service. Her legacy of love, kindness, and quiet strength lives on in all who knew her. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Cockrum Cemetery Fund.
