Archie Ray Baldwin

Archie Ray Baldwin, 81, of Olive Branch, MS went to be with the Lord on April 5, 2025. Mr. Baldwin was born on August 27, 1943 in Byhalia, MS to the late Ray and Nancy Baldwin. He is a 1963 graduate of Olive Branch High School. He worked in the sheetrock business for many years. Later in life he worked as a building inspector for the City of Hernando until his retirement. In his free time, he enjoyed all things outdoors, whether that be fishing, gardening, or riding his grandchildren on the tractor. Being “Papaw” to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren was one of his greatest joys in life. Mr. Baldwin was a believer in Jesus Christ and a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Pipkin; and two brothers, Boyce Baldwin and Don Baldwin. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Barbara Baldwin; daughter, Teresa Starnes; son, Wade Baldwin (Cindy); grandchildren: Amy Young (Christopher), Ashley McClure (Matt), and Samantha Neblett; 8 great-grandchildren; and his siblings: Billy Wayne Baldwin, Cecil Baldwin (Faye), Bubba Baldwin, Rochelle McKinney (Mike), Wyvonne Pierce (Sonny), Larry Baldwin, Scotty Baldwin, and Randy Baldwin. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Brantley Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 12:30-2:00 pm with a funeral service to begin at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Blocker Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Meadowbrook Baptist Church in his honor.
