Betty Joyce Owen

Betty Joyce Owen, 77, of Germantown, formerly of Byhalia, MS, passed away September 6, 2010. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 9, until the funeral services begin at 12 Noon at Meadow Brook Baptist Church, 3115 Old Pigeon Roost Road, Byhalia, MS. The interment will be at 3 p.m. in the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery outside New Albany, MS. Mrs. Owen was a homemaker and member of Meadow Brook Baptist Church where she was the pianist for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clovis and Ethel Jarrett and her sister, Francis Davenport. She is survived by her husband, Roy G. Owen; two daughters, Renee Barton (Rex) of Bartlett, TN and Stephanie McKee (Arlan) of Collierville, TN; her son, John Owen (Cathy) of Waynesville, NC; her brother, Charles Jarrett (Velma) of Myrtle, MS; seven grandchildren, Amanda Holcomb, Michael Holcomb, Ashley Goudy, Halle Owen, Chad Barton, Heather Owen, and Jeff McKee; and six great grandchildren, Chelsea, Skylar, Jonathon, and Christian Holcomb, Saige Jennings, and Jaxon Heimer.
