Billy R. Busby, 79, of Olive Branch, MS went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 19, 2022. Mr. Busby was preceded in death by his wife, Lula Belle Busby; two brothers, Buck Busby and Charles Busby; and four sisters: Betty Riley, Shelby Downer, Sylvia Golden, and Kay Brawley. He is survived by his son, Sandy Busby(Jeanette); son, Billy Busby(Wendy); daughter, Tammy Dickey(Chris); eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren (with one on the way); brother, Sonny Busby; and sister, Sletta Coleman. Mr. Busby was a believer in Jesus Christ and served as a deacon at Cedar View Baptist Church. He was a part of the “Busby Chain Gang” for the Olive Branch High School football games. In his free time, he enjoyed watching his grandchildren play baseball and watching the Ole Miss Rebels. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Brantley Funeral Home on Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 5-7 pm. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, February 25, 2022, also at Brantley. Interment will follow at Lebanon Cemetery.
