Carol Woods Murchison, 67, of Southaven, formerly of Jackson, TN, passed away January 25, 2012. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday, January 27, and funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, January 28, all at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Southwoods Cemetery in Memphis. Carol was born in Jackson, TN on November 2, 1944, and she attended Jackson High and Northside High. For many years, she worked as a medical office manager. Carol is survived by her husband of 48 years, Johnny M. “Mike” Murchison; her son, Micheal A. Murchison of Olive Branch, MS; her daughter, Johnna M. McIllwain of Cordova, TN; 4 grandsons, Timothy D. Murchison of Manchester, TN, Jonathan M. Murchison of Olive Branch, MS, Joseph A. Murchison and Brandon McIllwain, both of Cordova, TN; and her brother, Travis Woods of Humboldt, TN. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
