Joyce Christine Smith, 89, of Nesbit, MS went to be with the Lord on March 30, 2024. Christine was born on February 19, 1935 in Dresden, TN to the late John and Edna Tuck. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Teddy Joe Smith; sister, Dorothy Scates; and brother, Robert Tuck. She is survived by her son, Mark Randall Smith (Jeanie); daughter, Tracy Lynn Gallimore (Michael); grandchildren: Katherine Marie Smith Bouchon (Michael), Andrew James Smith, Robert Michael Gallimore (Kara), Sarah Michelle Gallimore, and Megan Elizabeth Gallimore; great-grandchildren, Charles Michael Bouchon and Claire Marie Bouchon; and a niece whom she loved like a sister, Edna Wallace. Christine was a devout believer in Jesus Christ and a faithful member of Boulevard Baptist Church where she taught children’s Sunday School for many years. She treated everyone with the love and grace of Jesus. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was truly a homemaker and made her home a safe place for her children and grandchildren. She was a great cook, kept her house clean and tidy, and enjoyed tending to her flower gardens. While working outside, she enjoyed watching the birds, especially the hummingbirds. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Brantley Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 8:30-9:30 am with a funeral service to begin at 9:30 am. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Southwoods.
