

Cynthia Kay Burrus, 57 of Olive Branch, MS, passed away at Baptist Trinity Hospice House on April 8, 2014, after a long battle with Alpha One Antitrypsin Deficiency. Cindy, a loving housewife and homemaker, is survived by her husband of 40 years, Johnny E.Burrus Sr. Johnny and Cindy shared a special bond, having been together since the 6th grade of elementary school. During her husbands military career Cindy maintained a loving home life during frequent moves and assignments all over the world. Cindy is preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Jones Presley, her father Charles E. Presley, and her younger sister Janice R. Presley Gibson, all of Memphis, TN. She is survived by two children, Johnny E. Burrus Jr. (Kimberly Burrus Wood), and Angel M. Burrus Delaney (Kevin S. Delaney), both of Olive Branch, MS. Cindy is also survived by two granddaughters who were the light of her life , Madison Taylor Burrus, 13 and Brooke Taylor Delaney, 10. Cindy’s life was especially enriched by close relationships with her Aunt Carolyn Landreth, Aunt Barbara Jones, her sister in-law Bobbie Edwards, and her best friend Debra Favors.
