With deep love, we announce the passing of Daniel “Danny” Gene Coats, a devoted husband, father, and pops, who passed away peacefully on September 7, 2026, surrounded by his family. Danny was born on August 4, 1967, in Frankfurt, Germany to Ronald and Ginger Coats. He built a life rooted in family, humbleness, and hard work. Danny met Christy Franks on a blind date in February of 1997. They fell madly in love and married on November 15, 1997. They spent the next 29 years building a family with their children: Courtney, Zachary, Coulter, and their spouses, and grandchildren. Danny is preceded in death by his father, Ronald Coats; granddaughter, Brileigh Kate, and all of his grandparents. He is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Christy Coats; his children, Courtney Macias (Cristian), Zachary Coats (Makenzie), Coulter Coats (Melissa); his grandchildren: Grayson, Aiden, Oaklynn, and a grandson on the way, Ian Daniel; his mother, Ginger Coats; his siblings, Jeff Coats (Michell), Kristi Alexander (Steve), Kayla Hill (Melvin), and Derek Coats (Mary). Danny is also survived by several beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 2:00 PM with visitation beginning at 12:00 PM at Longview Heights Baptist Church, 4501 Goodman Rd Olive Branch, MS 38654. Burial will follow at Autumn Woods Cemetery in Olive Branch, MS.
