David Lynn Carpenter of Byhalia, Mississippi was born on February 13, 1958, and was united with Jesus on September 16, 2025. He leaves behind two loving daughters: Amy Wildmon (Tony) and Kimberly Cooper (Michael), and six grandchildren: Tyler, Abby, Sadie, and Dax Wildmon, and Luke and Molly Cooper. His parents, William and Betty Carpenter, and his sister Diana Blair, are reunited with him in heaven. He is survived by his siblings, Curtis Carpenter (Janice), Patricia Farley (Dexter), and Sandra Putz (Don). They will hold onto and celebrate the memories and stories of his lifetime.
David loved and protected. He was equally a craftsman with strong hands roughened by labor and a compassionate caretaker serving others. He was and will always be a Daddy to his girls.
The family will cherish that love forever, miss him immensely, and celebrate his memory often.
Revelation 21:4 states: "And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."
The family will celebrate the life of David privately. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Dementia Society of America.
