Donald A. Hobart, 91, of Olive Branch, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017. Mr. Hobart was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving in WWII aboard the USS California. He was retired from the FAA as an Air Traffic Controller after over 30 years of service. Mr. Hobart was an active member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church where he served in the Knights of Columbus and the Men's Club. He was also involved with the Lion's Club. Mr. Hobart was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna, his parents, Evelyn and Louis, and one sister, Mary Macha. He is survived by his wife, Ola, sister, Joan Hofmann, his children, James Hobart (Alicia), Luevon Hobart, Jannette Courtney (Jim), Irene Hobart, and Helen Hobart, four grandchildren, Philip McLendon, Erin Courtney-Townsend (Jeff), Jaime Hobart, and Rhonda Hobart-Collier, and two great-grandchildren. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
