Dudley Calvin Woods Sr.

Dudley retired from MFA Oil after many years of dedicated service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved playing the guitar. He also enjoyed playing a good game of Rook. More than anything, Dudley loved his family and treasured every moment he was able to spend with them.

He was preceded in death by his parents, A L and Vera Mae Woods; his grandson, David Wayne Pierce, and six siblings: Robert Woods, Lawrence Woods, Billy Woods, Brenda Woods Bieri, Louise Woods, and a baby brother.

Dudley leaves behind three children, Dudley Woods, Jr., Anita Kay Baldwin (Elbert), Danny Eugene Woods (Eva); eight siblings: Hollis Woods, Shirley Linville, Sara Jones (Jackie), Bubba Woods (Linda), Patricia Woods Edwards, Helen Montgomery (Monty), Connie Wages (David), and Paula Woods, and eleven grandchildren: Dudley Woods, III, Daniel Woods, Angela Baldwin, Anita Baldwin, Christina Baldwin, Samantha Conner, Cody Woods, Brandon Woods (Melissa), Ronald Woods (Ashley) and Luke Woods. He also leaves behind 32 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 2:00 PM with visitation beginning at 12:00 PM at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS 38654. Burial will follow at Lebanon Cemetery in Olive Branch, MS.
