Edna Lott Burns, 68, of Olive Branch, MS went to be with the Lord on February 3, 2023. Edna was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon Lott and Mary Cathryn Bethay. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Stephen Burns; son, Patrick Bomar; son, Daniel Bomar (Katy); daughter, Jennifer Groves (John); grandchildren: Connor Bomar, Baylie Bomar, Charlie Bomar, Gray Bomar, Millie Groves, J.T. Groves, Avery Groves, and Stephen Groves; sister, Linda Lee; sister, Teresa Ciarloni (Billy); brother, Jim Lott (Susan); and step-sisters: Beverly Wauer (George), Julia Keith, and Annette Hickerson. Edna worked for DeSoto County Schools for many years as a bookkeeper and was at DeSoto Central High School when she retired. She was a very talented pianist. She was the pianist and music director at Immanuel Baptist Church in Olive Branch for over 30 years. She played at many other places around the area including DeSoto Family Theatre. She was a loving person who always ready to help anyone in need. One of her greatest joys in life was being “Mawmaw” to her grandchildren. She was full of life and personality with a wonderful sense of humor that could make anyone laugh and will be missed dearly by all those that knew and loved her. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Brantley Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 1-2 pm with a funeral service to begin at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Autumn Woods Memorial Park.
