Edward Morris Prather, 88, of Coldwater, MS went to be with the Lord on March 12, 2025. Mr. Prather was born on April 14, 1936 in New Albany, MS to the late Albert and Vernice Prather. He and his brother owned Prather Brothers painting business and they have been in business for over 50 years. As young man, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. As he got older, he enjoyed working in his vegetable garden when he wasn’t painting. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William D. Prather. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dorothea Prather; daughter, Rita Ladd (Alan); and his sister, Sandra Newberry (Larry). A graveside service will be held at Glenfield Memorial Cemetery in New Albany, MS on Monday, March 17, 2025 at 1:00 pm.
