I don't know where to even begin. My Mother befriended Ms. Elaine and Mr. Henry right after they moved in to the house across the street from ours. They would spend six months in Mississippi and six months, in Florida. When they came back in April of 2012, Ms. Elaine came over to the house and asked me where my Mom was. I had to tell her she passed away after complications from a mitral valve replacement surgery. The look on Ms. Elaine's face is one I will never forget. I thought she was going to pass out for a minute so I invited her in to sit down and I told her all that happened. We instantly became friends, and that evening she asked me to come over for dinner. I enjoyed some many home cooked meals with her and Mr. Henry. They taught me how to play a game of theirs, and taught me how to move on after my Mom's death. I so enjoyed listening to them talking about their life, where they had been, about their daughter and grandson who were deceased with tears in both their eyes, I had to fight my tears to stop After losing my Mom I had such a hard time coping with it. Their daughter Joann, and her husband Brad were so close and went on vacations together and had so much fun together. Their son Lynn and granddaughter, Becky. Lynn, who lived in Florida, passed away not to far after Mr. Henry had his car accident and died. and Becky, and her hubby Dustin, was their pride and joy. They loved that granddaughter so very much. She loved them. Becky gave her two great Granddaughters, Carmen and Evelyn. I cant imagine going to our old neighborhood and them both gone now. I So much fun birthday celebrations, and my handmade quilt I will cherish for ever. I kept begging her for the one on her couch, but she would laugh and say you are gonna have to fight Joann for that. lol
I said Joann just gained a sister lol. I will never forget them as long as I live. Love to you both in Heaven.

I worked with Elaine in the late 70’s early 80’s at Clark Oil until they closed here in Wi. I remember arriving at work early and enjoyed a toasted hard roll with her and Jeannie. She was a great lady we laughed a lot and it was a great way to start the day. My condolences to her family, she will surely be missed.
