Gavin Quinn Childers

Gavin Quinn Childers, 14, from Olive Branch, Mississippi passed away on June 8th, 2026. A precious life taken too soon. Gavin is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Amanda Childers, his brother Eian Childers, as well as a large and loving circle of grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that will miss him dearly.

Gavin was an incoming freshman trombone player for the Lewisburg High School Band. He was a talented musician with a bright future that loved life. Along with the trombone he also played the guitar, bass, and drums. He loved going to concerts. He could spend hours in a record store digging through old vinyls and CDs. He had an incredible love for music that he loved sharing with us as well as his friends.

Gavin was a great big brother with a huge heart that loved his family and friends. He was a kind soul that could make anyone feel welcomed with a smile, a laugh, a joke, or word of encouragement. He enjoyed time spent with family and friends. He loved travelling, camping, canoeing, water parks, amusement parks, ball games, the beach, or just making memories in the backyard with his brother. He was always happy and looked forward to new experiences. He loved his camp experiences at Brookhill Ranch in Hot Springs, Arkansas and looked forward to the day he could be a counselor, and help kids the way his counselors helped him.

In lieu of flowers we encourage anyone willing to make a donation in Gavin’s name to First Baptist Church Olive Branch or the Lewisburg Band program to help keep his memory alive.

Gavin will be loved forever by everyone that knew him.

A funeral service will be held on Monday. June 15, 2026 at 3:00 PM with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church Olive Branch, 9155 Highland St, Olive Branch, MS 38654.
