George "Tommy" Thomas Young passed on June 19, 2026, at the age of 73. Born June 18, 1953 to George and Bette Young in Waco, TX. Tommy graduated from Midway High School where he excelled in Football, Baseball, and Track and Field. After graduation Tommy attended McLennan Community College where he played baseball before joining his father to become a brick mason. Tommy enjoyed socializing and cooking and had a love for the sport of Baseball.
Tommy is survived by his brother Jerry Young of Ft. Worth TX., his sister Susie Haynie of Nesbit, MS., 2 children George Kirk Young of McKinney, TX. and Jenny Vardeman of Cibolo, TX. Along with 7 Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Robert Young and his son James Thomas Young. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
