

Gregory A. Floied, 43, of Olive Branch, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2012, at his home. A Life Celebration Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 6, and the family will receive friends beginning at 9 a.m., all at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch. Born on January 13, 1969 in Memphis, TN, Greg graduated from Memphis Preparatory School in 1987. He attended Memphis State University and then entered the family business. An avid outdoorsman, Greg loved to hunt, fish, ride four wheelers, and spend time at Lake Ouachita in Arkansas. He also enjoyed reading Stephen King novels, watching scary movies, and listening to great music like Rush, AC/DC, and Led Zeppelin. Greg had a heart of gold and was loved by everyone who knew him. He leaves a lasting legacy of kindness and compassion that will never be forgotten. Greg is survived by his wife, Sandra Floied; his son, Cody Hampton; 2 stepsons, Daniel Warren and Nathan Hampton; his mother, Linda Dalton; his father, Glenn Floied; his sister, Terri O’Connor; 2 grandsons, Cohen and Noah; and 3 nieces, Jennifer Barmer, Sarah Van Horn, and Kristen O’Connor. Greg is also survived by his grandparents, Jim and Georgia Faassen: his aunt and uncle, Joe and Susan Faassen; two aunts, Holly Colubriale and Sally Healy; and two cousins, Craig Faassen and Cindy Sloyer.
