Harold Earl Hartz, Jr., 79, of Memphis, TN passed away on July 7, 2026. He was born on December 10, 1946, in Long Beach, CA to the late Harold and Audrey Hartz. He is a 1965 graduate of Trezevant High School in Memphis. In his younger years, he worked for Firestone for 17 years. While working for Firestone, he went to school at the University of Memphis where he studied education. He went on to teach at Longview Middle School in Memphis for over 20 years. In his free time, he enjoyed being on the water. He loved boating, fishing, and skiing. He was also a huge fan of the Memphis Tigers. Over the last few years, he enjoyed eating breakfast at Neighborhood Grill in Olive Branch with his friends. Harold is survived by his last love, Diane Rogers; and many friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
