

Harold Jackson Ross, age 68, of Olive Branch, died on Saturday, December 12, 2009, surrounded by his children. Harold was born on July 19, 1941 to Martha Floy Bailey and Jack Leland Ross. He grew up in Olive Branch with one sister, Bettye. They were members of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Harold graduated from Olive Branch High School in 1959 and went to Northwest Community College where he met his future wife, Peggy Joanne Tomlin. Harold and Joanne married and had 4 children. Harold worked at L & P Lighting Company for several years, then eventually became a dairy farmer. After the loss of his wife, Harold began working as the Park Supervisor at the City of Olive Branch. He was later married to Robin Stewart of Memphis. Harold leaves behind 1 sister, Bettye Holley of Olive Branch and 4 children: Jackey Geeslin of Senatobia, Trent Ross of Cockrum, George Ross of Senatobia and Amy Woods of Jackson, MS. Harold’s greatest joys were his grandchildren; he leaves behind 16. He also leaves a niece, Martha Burton of Colorado and a nephew, Ross Holley of Olive Branch. The family will receive friends this afternoon, Sunday, December 13 from 4-7 p.m. at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m., Monday, December 14 at the funeral home with interment to follow in Lebanon Cemetery.
