Helen Louise Porterfield, 73, of Byhalia, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Baptist Collierville. She was born on May 29, 1948 to the Late Willie and Exie Ammons in Alabama. Along with her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Hollis M. Porterfield, her sons, Kevin V. Porterfield and Danny Porterfield. Helen leaves behind three children, Iris M. Davis (Peewee), Steven K. Porterfield (Bibi), and Elain M. Holt (Tom). She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren: Joshua, Jonathan, Coty, Mark, Brittany, Sherman, Kimberly, Keith, Katherine, Joey, David, Megan, Kayla, Kerry; and 15 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS 38654. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Brantley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Byhalia Cemetery in Byhalia, MS.
