James Robert "J.B." Browder Jr.

James Robert “JB” Browder, Jr, 47, Owner of JB Tours and Shuttle Service passed away in Memphis, TN on August 12, 2011. Jim was born August 20, 1963 in West Memphis, AR, the third child of James and Dorothy Adams Browder. JB served in the United States Navy during the Beirut, Lebanon conflict where he was assigned to the USS Independence. JB was active in various military organizations. He was very proud to have served his country as well as representing the Elvis world and sharing his experiences with his friends and those who toured with him. He was a member of the Baptist church. Jim had a long career in a family jewelry business but even as a young child he was consumed with Elvis Presley, Memphis, music and history. He later had the opportunity to serve as personal body guard to members of the Presley family. In 2001 he opened JB Tours and Shuttle Service. Through this business, JB became known to Elvis fan clubs worldwide as well as many other well-known entertainers. Jim is survived by his mother, Dorothy Adams Gay of Mississippi, his son, Yancey Davis of Texas, his sister, Melissa Browder also of Mississippi, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.
