James D. Brown Sr.

James D. Brown, Sr. passed away Monday, August 15th in Horn Lake, MS. James was a United States Air Force Veteran where he learned to work on airplanes which was his career. He loved homemade banana ice cream and gardening. James was preceded in death by his son, James D. Brown, Jr., his parents Leslie and Nellie Brown; brothers Hubert Brown and Leslie Brown and sister, Esther Fussell. He is survived by his wife, Willard “Vicki” Spires Brown, being married since February 27, 1952. James is also survived by two sons and one daughter, Kenneth D. Brown (Linda), Keith Brown (Jill) and Diane Jones (Jackey); six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday, August 19th from 1-2pm at Brantley Funeral Home and service to follow at 2pm. The burial will take place in Byhalia Cemetery.
