James E. Brown, 67, of Memphis, passed away May 20, 2011, at his sister’s home in Byhalia, MS. Graveside services will be held today, Saturday, May 21, at 2 p.m. in Memorial Park Southwoods Cemetery in Memphis. James retired from John Ellis Chevrolet in Memphis after 15 years as the Parts Department Manager, and he was self employed in property rental and management. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Christine Brown; and his brother, Butch Brown. James is survived by 2 sisters, Janice Melton (Julius) and Debra Newsom; 3 nephews, Scott Melton, Justin Melton, and Chad Newsom; his niece, Aimee Newsom; and his wife, Judy Brown.
